Meme & Reflection

Meme Review
-
I decided to use NH viewpoints as my theme. I believe this idea related to me specifically as it makes me stand out compared to other kids in class. Being from the north is unique down here so I figured I’d show others my viewpoint from where I live.
-
-
I chose panel 1 because I wanted to exaggerate the perception that southerners have on the north weather. I wanted southerners to embrace their idea of the north.
-
I chose panel 2 because it represents how people from the NH region see us. It helps express the different perceptions of NH for different states. This one being Massachusetts. The caption also gives a brief idea of how NH people see Massachusetts people.
-
In panel 3, the idea of a common college scene in NH is expressed. A lot of people in NH see NH colleges as “party schools” with little intelligence. I believe this picture captures that certain view.
-
NH experiences several deadly moose crashes a year so I decided to incorporate the moose’s point of view in panel 4. It’s gotten to such a big problem that warning signs cover the state.
-
Around winter, NH can be an ugly place for commuters. Panel 5 expresses the experience of driving in the severe snowstorms that blanket the state on a weekly basis. Driving can be tortures and I believe this photo captures the idea of driving in NH.
-
Finally, panel 5 represents how we feel about our state. A beautiful treasure that many people don’t understand. It’s an amazing place with amazing views. This image captures the true New Hampshire.
-
When someone reads my meme I hope they see my view of New Hampshire and the true experience of NH. I hope they can get an idea of how our state can be perceived by various people and maybe use those perceptions to shape their view of New Hampshire.
-
I would give my meme an 8. Is it absolutely brilliant? Probably not, however I do believe it properly capture the viewpoints many have on New Hampshire. Many see the state differently, and this meme captures those opinions properly from a New Hampsherite’s view.
